Job Description

The Delilah Food Runner is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and flawless delivery of food while supporting an elevated front-of-house experience. Serving as a key liaison between the Culinary and Service teams, this role helps maintain the pace, flow, and execution of service by delivering dishes with precision, communicating effectively with the kitchen, and providing genuine hospitality throughout the guest experience.

The Food Runner must possess comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, food delivery etiquette, table and seat numbering, and luxury dining service standards. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, urgency, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering the sophisticated guest experience synonymous with Delilah and Wynn Las Vegas.

Key Responsibilities

  Food Delivery & Service Excellence

  • Ensure food is delivered to the correct guest utilizing table numbers and seat positions.
  • Verify all dishes for accuracy, presentation, temperature, garnishes, and completeness prior to delivery.
  • Announce and describe menu items upon delivery, including ingredients, accompaniments, modifications, and special preparations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all food menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, presentations, and allergens.
  • Consistently communicate order status and table needs to culinary and service teams.

  Guest Experience Support

  • Greet and acknowledge guests in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain an attentive and polished presence while preserving Delilah's elevated dining atmosphere.
  • Adapt service style to accommodate a diverse guest demographic, including dining and nightlife clientele.

  Service Support & Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between the dining room and kitchen by communicating guest requests, modifications, allergies, and service needs.
  • Maintain awareness of upcoming orders, table pacing, and guest expectations.
  • Assist with moving chairs and tables as needed based on operational requirements and floor plans.

  Operational Readiness

  • Complete opening, running side work, and closing duties with accuracy and consistency.
  • Stock and replenish service stations with china, glassware, silverware, linens, and operational supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, storage areas, and back-of-house support areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of designated china, presentation standards, and garnishes for all menu offerings.

  Compliance & Brand Standards

  • Adhere to all Wynn Las Vegas grooming, appearance, and uniform standards.
  • Execute responsibilities in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and luxury service standards.
  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Food Runner or similar front-of-house support role in a fine dining, luxury hospitality, lounge, or high-volume restaurant environment preferred.
  • Experience in an upscale nightlife venue, supper club, or luxury dining concept is preferred.
  • Fluent spoken and written English required; ability to communicate professionally with guests, management, and team members. Second language is a plus.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

  Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of luxury dining and fine dining service standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of food presentation, menu descriptions, ingredients, and allergens.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of dining room flow and anticipate operational needs.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both Culinary and Front-of-House teams to support seamless service execution.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations preferred.

  Licenses & Certifications
