Work Environment

This position is designed for professionals who thrive in a remote setting, allowing for a unique work-life balance while serving clients through an outpatient model. Our facility operates from Monday to Saturday, offering flexibility in scheduling. As part of our team, you will benefit from in-house credentialing and support for insurance participation and client scheduling, enabling you to focus more on delivering effective therapy and less on administrative hurdles.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor at Safe Harbor Therapeutic Center, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments for individuals and families to determine their needs and capacity for care, while developing comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care strategies, ensuring all aspects of mental health, educational, and safety needs are met.
  • Managing a caseload of clients, providing ongoing case management that includes consultation and collaboration with community professionals and resources.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of treatment progress and clinical assessments to support continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Licensure as a LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the State of California is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is necessary; higher degrees are preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in outpatient mental health services, particularly in community health clinic environments.

Compensation and Benefits
