Job description

SUMMARY: Neonatal ICU, Mother-Baby, Labor & Delivery, Lactation, and Perinatal Education departments, With 150-200 deliveries a month, two ORs for cesarean sections, and an average daily census of eight NICU babies, our units are busy, fast-paced, and offer the opportunity to provide specialty and critical care in a collaborative and supportive environment.Our hospital has earned the Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care from The Joint Commission, setting us apart in the community as a leader in maternal and neonatal care. We work closely with Children�s Mercy neonatology specialists who staff our NICU and delivery team 24/7, as well as respiratory care and other specialists, to provide the best possible outcomes. Our culture values each team member�s expertise and input, creating a positive, patient-centered experience for our families. SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, RN, LPN, will assist in the care of patients by performing basic nursing care and support tasks on assigned units.
EXPERIENCE: Hospital experience within last 3 years required; pediatric experience preferred.
OTHER: Basic computer skills
LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) Preferred: CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)
