The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program management activities by performing tasks related to data tracking, analysis, and implementation of results that meet the goals/objectives of the department.
Program Coordinator, GPM Executive Operations
Overview
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) and St. Jude Global work to improve survival for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases worldwide. The Program Coordinator in Executive Operations, plays a critical role in supporting executive leadership and advancing high-priority strategic initiatives across St Jude Global. This role operates at the center of executive operations, helping translate strategic priorities into coordinated, actionable work across teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and bring structure to complex or evolving initiatives. This role requires strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to independently drive work forward while aligning stakeholders and leading through influence to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
The GPM Executive Operations Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
Program & Strategic Initiative Execution
  • Lead or independently drive the planning and execution of strategic initiatives, translating leadership priorities into structured project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Maintain visibility across assigned workstreams, tracking priorities, risks, dependencies, and progress to ensure alignment and timely execution
  • Establish and support governance routines, including meeting cadences, decision tracking, and follow-ups to drive accountability and progress

Cross-Functional Coordination & Integration
  • Serve as a key liaison across Global Pediatric Medicine, St. Jude Global, and institutional teams to ensure alignment, coordination, and operational readiness
  • Coordinate cross-functional work, managing dependencies and integrating efforts across teams
  • Ensure alignment of initiatives with organizational strategy, operating models, and leadership direction

Stakeholder Management & Executive Support
  • Develop executive-level communications (briefings, reports, presentations) and ensure stakeholder alignment; proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint is a must
  • Plan and execute executive meetings, events, and strategic engagements
  • Build strong relationships across teams to facilitate collaboration and drive progress

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to inform decision-making and program outcomes
  • Identify risks, trends, and opportunities, recommending actionable solutions
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency

Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrates strong ownership, accountability, and proactive end-to-end execution with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Operates effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, bringing structure and clarity

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.

Minimum Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in program management and delivery.
  • Significant experience working with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office).

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator, GPM Executive Operations.
