Job description

Direct Support Professional (Youth Services)

Full Time or Part Time
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Cornerstone Support Services is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as a Youth Direct Care Worker. In this role, you will support male youth ages 10 to 18 who are placed in the temporary custody of the Indiana Department of Child Services.

This position plays an important role in providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment while helping youth develop life skills, build positive behaviors, and work toward personal goals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in placement
  • Assist youth with developing daily living and independent living skills
  • Support youth in setting goals and building positive life skills
  • Promote positive behavior and healthy decision making
  • Help youth engage positively within the community
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
  • Model appropriate behavior, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Document activities and follow program guidelines and policies

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong reliability and dependability
  • Effective communication and sound decision-making skills
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check

Work Schedule
  • Full Time and Part Time opportunities available.
  • Schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on program needs.
