Job description

LC State invites applications for an Assistant Teacher.

Assistant Teachers are hired on an as-needed basis. This is an open pool posting. Submission of an application does not guarantee employment. Applications are reviewed as needs arise, and qualified applicants may be contacted if an opportunity becomes available.

Hourly Rate: $10.00 - $12.00 based on education

Required Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year of childcare experience
  • 3-6 college credits in early childhood, education, psychology, social work, and/or nursing or a Child Development Associate

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for helping teachers organize and lead the daily activities of infants, toddlers, and pre-kindergarten children, including helping with toileting or diaper changing, cleaning up after children, providing emotional support, and supervising and engaging with children.
