Are you a patient-centered and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) looking to work in a fun, supportive pediatric practice? We are seeking an RDH to deliver preventative care and oral hygiene education to our young patients—helping them feel comfortable, confident, and healthy at every visit. If you enjoy working with children, including those with special needs, and want to be part of a team that values gentle care and positive experiences, we’d love to meet you!

Job Description

Perform dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride application, and sealant placement
Take and evaluate digital radiographs as prescribed by the dentist
Educate children and caregivers on oral hygiene techniques and nutrition
Build rapport and trust with young patients using age-appropriate, behavior guidance techniques
Provide gentle, accommodating care for children with special healthcare needs or sensory sensitivities
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
Assist with sterilization and infection control procedures per OSHA guidelines
Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and front office staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a supportive environment for families

Salary Range

Part-time $32 - $45 per hour

Education & Licensure:

Experience:
New graduates welcome!
Experience with pediatric patients and/or special needs populations preferred (but not required)
Skills & Abilities:
Warm, calming demeanor with strong communication skills
Ability to adapt care based on age, developmental level, or behavioral considerations
Familiarity with sensory sensitivities and behavioral management
Proficiency in dental software and digital charting (e.g., Dentrix, DEXIS)
Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
