MEDICAL ASSISTANT/SCRIBE Medical Assistants (MA) will partner with the providers of Southern Indiana ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. There will also be Scribe duties to complete as assigned. Southern Indiana ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role is full-time, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday at Columbus, Greenwood, and Franklin. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Medical Assistant/ScribeResponsible for assisting Physicians with the evaluation, management, charting, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.Assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow and performing basic skills such as vital signs, chief complaints, reviews medications, and point of care testing.Maintain upkeep of exam and treatment rooms- restocking supplies, washing, drying, and sterilizing instruments.Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.Accompany the Physicians during patient visits, documenting patient history, examination, and treatment plans in real-time.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS of a Medical Assistant/ScribeHigh School diploma or GED equivalentCurrent CPR Certification requiredAt least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant required.Minimum of 1-year experience working as a medical scribe required, equivalency accepted given education.Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS of a Medical Assistant/ScribeExperience with eCW preferredGraduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferredMinimum of two years clinical experience preferredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibility.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS for a Medical Assistant/ScribePreferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.WAGE:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
