Job description

Help us to help you build the practice of your dreams in Downtown St. Pete! Downtown St. Pete Vet Clinic has an opportunity unlike any other for a motivated and adaptable veterinarian to join our unique, walkable, urban practice located in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys autonomy, values client relationships, and is eager to help grow a practice with strong potential, under the leadership and medical guidance of another experienced veterinarian. Flexible scheduling options are available as well.

This position is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who is a self-starter with a passion for just about any type of medicine. Since our clinic is undergoing a transitionary phase, this is a time of re-building clientele, and we would love to help you build a client-base specific to the areas of medicine that you would like to focus on.

About Our Practice

Nestled in a charming courtyard beneath a high-rise building, our clinic offers a truly one-of-a-kind setting just steps from Beach Drive, the St. Pete Pier, and North Straub Park. We are a small, efficient, one-doctor hospital designed for personalized care and strong client connections.

Our Facility Includes
  • 3 exam rooms
  • A compact treatment area
  • Digital radiology

This is a wellness-focused practice with limited surgical capacity, making it ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys preventive care, diagnostics, and client communication. However, if managing a surgical caseload is important to you, there is the opportunity for a regular shift dedicated to surgeries at our sister clinic, Northeast Animal Hospital, just a 5-minute drive away.

We are looking for a veterinarian who:
  • Is comfortable working as a solo DVM in the practice, but with the support and direction of our esteemed Chief of Staff
  • Thrives in an environment with minimal oversight and plenty of independence
  • Enjoys building relationships with clients and the community
  • Is excited by the opportunity to help grow and shape a practice
  • This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial-minded who wants to make a meaningful impact.
Located in the vibrant Plaza Tower Courtyard, our clinic is surrounded by:
  • Coffee shops, restaurants, and local breweries
  • The waterfront and St. Pete Pier
  • Museums, parks, and dog-friendly spaces
Benefits
  • Medical benefits (including health, dental, and vision)
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Vacation
  • Dues & liability coverage
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid Holidays
  • Training & Development: Vetcor University, CE Allowance, Tuition Assistance, Lend a Hand Program, VetLife Days
  • Health & Welfare: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Optional Life, Disability, and Accidental Insurance; EAP with counseling and mental health benefits; DVM Professional Liability Insurance fully covered; Licensure Fees, Professional & Association Dues
  • Financial Wellbeing: 401k with company contribution; Health Savings Account; Flexible Spending Account; EAP with Financial & Legal Advice/Services; Tuition Assistance Program; Employee Referral Bonus
