Lead Performance & Planning Analyst

Commercial Operations | Office of the CRO

Role Overview

The Lead Performance & Planning Analyst is a principal individual contributor within the Commercial Operations team, responsible for owning global commercial performance measurement, forecasting, and Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs). This role plays a critical part in how the business understands performance, makes decisions, and plans forward.

Reporting into the Director of Commercial Operations, this role supports the CRO and senior commercial leaders with clear, trusted, and actionable insights. It is a high-visibility, hands-on role designed to evolve into a people manager as the function scales.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Performance & Insights

Own global commercial performance reporting across pipeline, bookings, renewals, and core KPIs.

Measure and track core commercial KPIs at a monthly MOR cadence, ensuring consistency and clarity across regions. Recommend other SaaS-relevant commercial KPI's.

Translate complex performance data into executive-ready insights that inform decisions at the CRO and leadership level.

Identify trends, risks, and performance drivers, with a strong point of view on implications and actions.

Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR)

Lead end-to-end preparation and delivery of Monthly Operating Reviews, including KPI measurement, variance analysis, and performance narratives.

Ensure MORs are forward-looking, insight-driven, and decision-oriented, not just retrospective reporting.

Forecasting (Global Ownership)

Own the global commercial forecast, partnering with regional and functional leaders to drive accuracy, discipline, and accountability.

Provide forecast assurance to the Director of Commercial Operations, clearly articulating risks, assumptions, and confidence levels.

Continuously improve forecasting methodologies and predictability as the business scales.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Execution

Partner closely with the Processes & Tools lead to ensure performance reporting is grounded in strong pipeline hygiene, data quality, and system integrity.

Align with the SIP lead to ensure commercial performance metrics and forecasting are consistent with incentive design, attainment measurement, and payout logic.

Maintain tight alignment with Finance as a paramount partner, ensuring KPIs, forecasting, and performance insights are consistent with financial planning, revenue expectations, and reporting.

Collaborate with the Office of the COO on co-owned commercial strategy initiatives, aligning success metrics and execution tracking from strategy through delivery.

Act as connective tissue across Commercial Operations, partnering with Sales, Account Management, Finance, and others to drive a single, trusted version of commercial truth.

Leadership & Scale

Operate as a principal-level thought partner within Commercial Operations.

Help set standards, best practices, and operating rhythm for performance and planning.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to shaping the future structure of the function.

What Success Looks Like

MORs are consistently trusted by leadership and drive meaningful commercial action.

Core KPIs are clearly defined, consistently measured, and broadly understood.

Forecast confidence and accuracy improve quarter over quarter.

Senior leaders rely on this role as a go-to source of commercial performance truth.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or FP&A, ideally in a global organization.

Proven experience owning performance reporting, forecasting, and executive-level operating reviews.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize insights for senior audiences.

Deep understanding of pipeline dynamics, commercial KPIs, and sales motions.

Comfortable operating in high-visibility, ambiguous environments with senior stakeholders.

Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and execution-focused.

Advanced Excel; strong CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).

Outstanding Benefits

  • Very competitive compensation
  • Generous Paid Time Off (25 PTO days)
  • 8 Hours of Volunteer Time Off (VTO)
  • We offer a comprehensive medical, dental and Wellness Program
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave
  • An infrastructure that allows flexible working arrangements
  • Formal and informal reward, recognition and acknowledgement programs
  • Lots of fun and engaging employee development events
