Topeka Beach Weekends + Music Vacations: Marketing Manager |www.topeka.live
Fully Remote. Contract status. Fixed monthly rate / ~40 hours week with performance bonus potential.


Focus:

  • Manage and execute the marketing plans across all Topeka events (6 to 8 in 2027)
  • Coordinate work across all teams, vendors, and projects:
    • Firms: Social, Paid Digital, Graphics, Video, PR, Photo
    • Marketing Team
    • Artist Relations Leads
    • Community Leaders
    • Project Vendors: Street team ryv.
  • This role must bring prior marketing experience but is marketing operations and coordination in nature, not overly strategy or creative. Focus is to:
    • Drive the work to completion and results / booking goals through the team and vendors: reporting results, assigning, traQicking it, keeping it on schedule, quality-checking it against the plan, and ensure the right things ship on time, on budget, and on brand
  • 1. Campaign & Lifecycle Execution
    • Marketing Manager will not be expected to personally produce the assets.
    • Run the full launch-to-close cadence across all events simultaneously, without letting one campaign cannibalize another.

  • 2. Channel Plan Management (manage the plan, not the production)
    • Email & SMS: manage the send calendar, segmentation, and scheduling; coordinate on the marketing team who builds and sends emails and SMS copy/creative from the producers; QA and traQic each send to the plan.
    • Website: manage updates, landing/passes pages, and ticketing flows through the team/vendors; verify everything is live and correct
    • Social: manage the calendar and posting cadence within defined caps; coordinate content from creators; ensure it posts on schedule
    • Digital ads: manage the media plan pacing, budget, and flighting; coordinate the ad buyer/vendor; monitor delivery against targets
    • Creative: traQic briefs to designers/producers and route assets through the creative queue; keep production on deadline

3. Project & Event Coordination (core of the role)
Own timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across all events at once. Keep the assetcalendar and creative queue moving, chase down what's late, and be the single point of coordination so nothing waits


4. Vendor & Partner Management

Manage external vendors designers, ad buyers, production, agencies including scopes, deadlines, and deliverables. Coordinate partner/host/artist deliverables (asks, assets, giveaways) start to finish.


5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track KPIs and spend pacing against the targets set; maintain dashboards (GA4, UTM tagging); report results on a regular cadence. Surface insights and flag underperformance early; recommend adjustments.


6. Execution of Strategic Initiatives

Take the initiatives the Strategy Contractor designs and builds (local region, alumni, group sales, TikTok, travel agent, artist tours) and project-manage them to delivery coordinating the team and vendors to hit the intended outcome.
