Description:

Outreach is a Christian community service organization providing counseling, case management, youth development, older adult services, and community development. For over 50 years, Outreach has changed the lives of thousands of individuals, children, youth, and families in DuPage County, IL. We are seeking to hire a visionary and mission-driven executive leader to serve as our next Chief Growth Officer (CGO).


The Chief Growth Officer will lead Outreach’s integrated growth strategy by expanding philanthropic support, strengthening brand visibility, advancing social enterprise initiatives, and cultivating strategic partnerships that fuel long-term sustainability and impact. This executive leadership role oversees Resource Development, Marketing, and Social Enterprise operations to ensure a unified, innovative, and mission-centered approach to organizational growth.


The CGO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with the Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to advance Outreach’s mission to restore hope and provide opportunities for people to become all that God intends them to be.

Responsibilities

  • The Chief Growth Officer will design and lead a comprehensive organization-wide growth strategy that integrates philanthropy, marketing, national partnerships, and social enterprise initiatives to drive sustainable revenue growth and mission advancement.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Senior Marketing Officer, Director of Resource Development, and Director of Social Enterprises to ensure alignment across all growth-focused divisions.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will cultivate and strengthen relationships with major donors, corporate partners, churches, foundations, and community stakeholders to expand Outreach’s funding and partnership opportunities.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will oversee fundraising strategy and innovation, including major gifts, campaigns, grants, events, and corporate partnerships.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will partner with the Senior Marketing Officer to strengthen Outreach’s brand visibility, communications strategy, and public engagement efforts locally and nationally.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will steward Outreach’s brand identity and market presence to increase awareness, credibility, and engagement across diverse audiences.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will supervise and support the Director of Social Enterprises in expanding mission-aligned earned-income initiatives and identifying new market opportunities.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will develop short- and long-term strategic growth plans focused on revenue diversification, geographic expansion, and organizational sustainability.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will utilize data analysis, forecasting, and performance metrics to guide strategic decisions, evaluate growth opportunities, and ensure accountability across all growth initiatives.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will collaborate with the CEO and CFO to establish financial goals, monitor organizational performance, and ensure fiscal stewardship across fundraising, marketing, and social enterprise operations.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and cross-functional alignment throughout the organization.
  • The Chief Growth Officer will represent Outreach publicly as an ambassador of the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in development, marketing, social enterprise, business development, or related executive leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale fundraising initiatives, marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships, or earned-income enterprises.
  • Proven ability to integrate fundraising, marketing, and operational strategies into a cohesive growth model.
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational leadership, and financial management skills are required.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and public speaking abilities are essential.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in complex organizational environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data and performance metrics to drive strategic decision-making and growth outcomes.
  •  Willingness to travel locally and nationally (10–20%) is required.
  • Commitment to Outreach’s Statement of Mission & Faith is required.
