Brown & Brownisseekinga Chief Data Officerto join our growing team! This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and can be based out of our offices in Plano, Charlotte, Maryland, Washington, DC, or Virginia.

The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is a senior executive responsible for defining, building, and scaling the enterprisewide data strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO), this leader will develop the vision, strategy, and execution plan for a modern data platform, establish the analytics workbench, and ensure the organization's data foundation is robust, trusted, and ready to support AIenabled capabilities.

The CDO must bring a strong AIfirst mentality, anticipating how data will fuel emerging AI use cases and ensuring the enterprise is prepared for rapid advancements in automation, intelligence, and decisioning.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a business enablement mindset, ensuring data capabilities translate into measurable value, operational efficiency, and improved customer outcomes.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • Deep expertise in data governance, data engineering, analytics enablement, and strong familiarity with AI/ML concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fastpaced, outcomesdriven environment with a strong bias for action.

  • Strong business acumen with a track record of enabling measurable business value through data.

  • Preferred: Experience in the insurance industry, including risk, and regulatory considerations.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholdermanagement skills.

  • Experience driving organizational change and building datadriven cultures.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, ethical, and security considerations related to data and AI.

Pay Range

$250k - $350k Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
