Under the broad supervision of the Executive Vice President & CTO, you will be the strategic architect and operational leader of our data ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy, ensuring our data is scalable, trusted, and actionable. You are responsible for the entire data lifecycle-from raw ingestion to executive-level insights-while fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.

Here is how the Director, Data & Analytics will help:

Data Architecture & Ingestion

  • Oversee a modern, scalable data architecture that supports both event (close to real-time) and batch processing.
  • Lead the Azure Data Platform implementation leveraging Azure technologies (ADLS, Azure Functions, Databricks).
  • Lead the strategy for automated data ingestion from disparate internal and external sources.

Data Curation & Governance

  • Drive the implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring data business readiness, security, and compliance.
  • Lead the standardization data definitions and support data architects and data engineers to maintain a universal data catalog to ensure a "single source of truth."
  • Oversee data quality initiatives, implementing robust cleansing and transformation (ETL/ELT) processes.

Reporting & Advanced Analytics

  • Direct the development of enterprise-wide BI dashboards and self-service reporting solutions.
  • Lead the advanced analytics roadmap, incorporating predictive modeling and machine learning to drive proactive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify needs for analytical business solutions and manage visual storytelling for executive leadership.

Business Relationship Building

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Data team and department heads (Finance, Marketing, Ops) to identify high-impact analytical needs.
  • Advocate for data literacy across the company, empowering non-technical stakeholders to leverage data tools.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for data platforms and services.

IoT Solution Management

  • Manage the IoT landscape for ACAA to make sure all IoT devices are operational, and data is available for business solutions
  • Evaluate operational and business challenges to identify new IoT solutions and possible government and private business grants to support implementation
  • Research new IoT technologies to enhance the airport operational readiness and drive towards an automated airport operation framework

Qualifications

The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Requirements to apply for the role of Director, Data & Analytics are:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 15+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Analytical Solution Management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building data departments from the ground up or leading significant digital transformations.
  • Exceptional ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.

  • Considerable ability to articulate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work as a Change Agent, driving adoption of advanced analytics across the company.
