Job description

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a Chief Anesthesiologist to join UPMC Hanover. This role involves providing medical management for patients undergoing various surgical and medical procedures, with a diverse case mix. The successful candidate will join a Joint Commission-accredited facility recognized for its quality in maternity care and stroke treatment.

Practice Info

  • Diverse case mix including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, ENT, and ophthalmology
  • No cardiac or neuro cases
  • Limited pediatric cases
  • UPMC Hanover is accredited by The Joint Commission
  • Certified Primary Stroke Center
  • Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care, and Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

  • Salary: $500,000 annually
  • Chief Bonus: $45,000
  • Sign-on bonus: $50,000 sign on bonus
  • Loan repayment or training assistance program funding available
