Job description


To assist in providing a superior gaming experience, unattainable by our competitor, where guests can indulge themselves without apology. Perform duties to take guest food and beverage orders, serve food to guests and total dining charges. Respond to guest requests for dining amenities.
Responsibilities
  • Comply with all policies and procedures of company and department.
  • Maintain the highest standard of professionalism when interacting with guests and co-workers.
  • Have complete product knowledge, be able to describe all menu items, have basic wine knowledge, be able to suggest and present wine tableside, have basic liquor knowledge and able to garnish all beverages.
  • Take and deliver food and beverage orders. Follow and maintain all service standards.
  • Ring items into POS, accept payment and reconcile all payments.
  • Make specific suggestions and recommendations to increase guest check average.
  • Follow all safety procedures, maintain work area for a clean and safe environment.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
  • Provide friendly, quick professional service to guest and co-workers.
  • Keep service wells wipe down, clean and free of debris and clutter.
  • Remain visible by standing in assigned station with an approachable look and stance at all times.
  • Follows policies and procedures.
  • Take and serve drink orders to guest within the following guidelines: beverage service every 15 minutes. Less than 2 cigarette butts per ashtray, beverages served within minutes of when an order has been taken and keep an immaculate station by picking up all glassware through the station in a timely manner.
  • Accept payment for orders and provide accurate change.
  • Notify supervisor or manager if a guest appears intoxicated.
  • Respond to guest requests for assistance or information on Horseshoe operations.
  • Follow safety rules.
  • Prepare service wells for the following shift by completing open and closing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • ROP $6.25 + Tips

Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proficient in English verbal and written
  • Equivalent to a high school education with 1 year minimum experience in fine dining
  • Must be able to serve alcohol in the state of Indiana.
  • Must obtain/maintain an Indiana Liquor License, as required.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission, if applicable.
  • Access to the vessel is required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach repetitively
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a crowded, smoking, and loud environment
