Job description

A leading healthcare system in Peoria, Illinois, is actively seeking a Physician Assistant to join our highly skilled Inpatient ICU team. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver advanced critical care in a collaborative, physician-led environment.
Position Overview:

  • Work alongside a team of 4 Critical Care Physicians and 1 Nurse Practitioner
  • Provide care in our 12-bed Cardiovascular ICU and 12-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
  • Average of 5 patients per shift
  • Perform ICU procedures - full training and several months of orientation provided
  • Flexible scheduling with 8-, 12-, or 24-hour shifts, including weekdays, nights, evenings, and weekends
Qualifications:
  • NCCPA Certification
  • 1-3 years of ICU or Acute Care experience as a provider or RN
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and procedural skills
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly rate: $59.38 - $77.20 (commensurate with experience)
