Job Description
We strive to be known as the best swim program in Chicago. The Aquatics team offers members and nonmembers quality instruction of competitive and recreational swimming. Our experienced instructors and coaches are excited about strengthening swim skills, to adults and children through group and private lessons at any of our 5 pools.
Job responsibilities
  • Responsible for instructing swim lesson participants
  • Maintain the safety of participants in and around the class
  • Planning swimming lessons that take into account student`s abilities and progressive development
  • Evaluate student`s performance during swim lessons, provide feedback
  • Complete attendance, progress and accident reports
  • Communicate effectively with the managers, coworkers and act as a team in an emergency

Qualifications
  • Demonstrate patience and enthusiasm, able to motivate students to accomplish their swimming goals
  • Communicate effectively with students
  • Respectful, professional, organized, punctual

Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • WSI certification or competitive swimming background
  • Current Lifeguard certification
  • Proven experience working as a Swim Instructor
  • Sound knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Be available after school hours during the week and Saturday/Sunday morning
