Job description

East Bank Club is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Lifeguard/Swim Instructors to join our team. As a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for weekly lifeguarding shifts and instructing swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, as well as responsible for ensuring its members have a safe and enjoyable time in the water. You will be tasked with ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants while teaching proper swim techniques and water safety.
Currently seeking a lifeguard for 9a-3p, and 11a-4p shifts during weekdays, and one day of weekend availability.
Pay Rate:
Lifeguard Hourly Rate: $18.00
Swim Instructor: 100% commission. Commission structure: 40% of service revenue. Estimated earnings range: $24-33 per hour based on typical services volume.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist members utilizing the pool area
  • Observe assigned pool and surrounding area
  • Enforce all posted pool guidelines
  • Enforce Children's Rules and age restrictions
  • Assist Aerobics and Swim Instructors in setting up or facilitating classes including taking attendance
  • Relay any member relations problems to management
  • Develop and implement swim lesson plans
  • Provide individual and group instruction to participants of all ages and skill levels
  • Assess participant abilities and adjust instruction as needed
  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
  • Enforce safety rules and guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with participants and their parents/guardians
  • Maintain accurate records of participant progress
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions
  • Assist with swim team or special aquatic events, as needed

  • Must be authorized to work in the USA. We use E-Verify.
  • Previous lifeguarding and swim instruction experience preferred.
  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification or equivalent preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certification required (can be obtained after hire).

This is a year-round position (not seasonal). If hired, your start date shall not surpass 3 weeks from the initial offer. Weekday and weekend availability is required during the months of August and September. This role will be expected to work at least one evening and one weekend shift per week.
