ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and communicate with various project stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Composure and diplomatic problem solving
  • Analyze applicable codes, standards, and specifications for compliance
  • Perform general field inspection of Road and Bridge Construction
  • Measure, calculate, and report installed quantities
  • Oversee materials sampling and testing schedules
  • Monitor and analyze progress of contractor's work
  • Maintain various reports
  • Monitor and lead inspection team

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Engineering Field
  • 4+ years' experience working with Chicago DOT, IDOT, Illinois Tollway, or comparable transportation agencies
  • Certifications, including IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities
  • Transportation design experience is a plus
  • Experience on transit and/or utility projects is a plus
  • Coachable and a sense of humor
  • Comfortable taking initiative and exercising professional judgement

Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
