Job description

Chevron is a leading integrated energy company based in Houston, Texas. We seek talented graduates to join the Texas A&M TRIP Program and accelerate their commercial careers in our Supply & Trading (S&T) organization.

Program Overview

The CSD Program is a 4‑rotational, 24‑month development path that provides hands‑on experience across crude, refined products, NGL, LNG, and natural gas. Participants rotate through Products/Renewables, Crude, Gas Supply & Trading, and one of Shipping, Value‑Chain Optimization, or Value‑Chain Strategy & Commercial.

Learnings

By the end of the program candidates will develop: Understanding of Chevron’s businesses, logistics, and commodity specifications; Analytical skills in market fundamentals; and Effective cross‑functional relationships, negotiation ability, and risk‑management skills.

Core Responsibilities
  • Conduct business analysis of regional and commodity performance (earnings, exposures, mark‑to‑market).
  • Provide market views on fundamentals, industry developments, and pricing structures.
  • Manage transportation logistics, quality, and quantity control across pipelines, trucks, rails, and ships.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Required (Minimum) qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Successful completion of the Texas A&M Trading, Risk and Investment Program – Certificate of graduation
  • Commercial orientation, sound business judgment, self‑starter with strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic, domestic, and international team environment; willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends.
Critical Selection Criteria
  • Commercial Acumen – Recognize market drivers and understand overall commercial strategies.
  • Decision Making & Ability to Execute – Assertive, timely decisions with limited information.
  • Teamwork – Foster cooperative relationships, lead or follow as appropriate.
  • Digital Acumen – Demonstrate analysis skills and develop digital tools for data insights.
Benefits & Compensation

The anticipated salary is $96,000.00 U.S. payroll. Chevron offers competitive compensation and benefits including variable pay, health care coverage, retirement plan, protection coverage, time‑off and leave, training, development opportunities, and allowances for specific work situations.
