Job description

Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associate

Location: Ashland, VA
Pay Rate: $19.50/hr
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM or until finished

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associates to join our warehouse team in Ashland, VA. As a Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associate, you will be responsible for accurately moving, picking, and staging inventory using powered equipment and RF technology. This role requires prior warehouse experience, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety and productivity in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as a Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associate to unload palletized and floor-loaded inbound containers safely and efficiently
  • Receive, label, and process products accurately using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handheld RF scanners
  • Use cherry picker equipment as a Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associate to move and store inventory in designated rack locations
  • Transfer product from reserve storage to picking locations to support daily order demand
  • Accurately pick and stage outbound orders while following RF or voice-directed instructions
  • As a Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associate, ensure all orders are picked with correct product quantities and labels applied correctly
  • Move completed orders to staging areas, conveyor systems, or shipping lanes as needed
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory processes to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
  • Report damaged product, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately to supervision
  • Meet or exceed productivity, quality, and accuracy standards expected of a Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associate
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines consistently
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise and varying temperatures

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Cherry Picker / Stock Picker Associate or in warehouse distribution preferred
  • Experience operating cherry pickers, forklifts, or similar equipment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards in a warehouse setting
