Cherry County Hospital & Clinic is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative to join our Business Office team. This position supports patient billing, accounts receivable, payments, insurance claims, and other revenue cycle activities while providing excellent customer service to our patients.

What You'll Do
  • Post patient and insurance payments and adjustments accurately.
  • Process patient statements, claims, refunds, and deposits.
  • Answer patient questions about bills, insurance claims, and balances.
  • Contact patients regarding outstanding balances, insurance information, and payment options.
  • Prepare Good Faith Estimates and visit estimates.
  • Assist patients with payment arrangements and financial assistance applications.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient financial records.
  • Perform general business office and revenue cycle duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Lead responsibilities may include: overseeing daily department operations, delegating tasks, training and coaching staff, assisting with recruitment, resolving concerns, and supporting team goals.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-3 years of customer service and/or business office experience preferred.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and other computer systems.
  • Knowledge of medical billing, collections, insurance reimbursement, or hospital accounting is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
  • Friendly, professional, and courteous approach when working with patients and coworkers.
  • For Lead responsibilities: Ability to train, coach, communicate effectively, and manage time efficiently.
Work Environment

This is an office-based position involving frequent communication with patients and staff, computer work, sitting, standing, walking, and operating standard business office equipment.
