MSA Hospice of the Upstate, a proud member of the Medical Services of America, Inc. family, currently seeks an experienced Full-Time Medical Social Worker to join our Hospice team to cover Rock Hill, York, Spartanburg, Union, and Cowpens (Cherokee County), SC.

Responsibilities Include:

· Provides social work services in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.

· Works with the interdisciplinary team directly, or through coordination of team members, to provide appropriate assessment and support patients and families.

· Provides assessment for normal and complicated grief and provides bereavement counseling as appropriate.

· Serves as a liaison with other community resources.


Job Requirements

· Master's or Bachelor's level social work degree from a school of social work accredited or approved by the Council of Social Work Education.

· Minimum of one-year Hospice experience preferred.

· Valid Driver's License.
