CED is well situated in Downers Grove, Illinois - we are located a commuter train ride west of Chicago and a short drive from farmland.


CED's current salary range for this role is $28.00-$32.00 /hour, plus a $3.00 shift differential. At CED, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, location and geography. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. CED’s benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.


Job Title–CNC Set Up Operator/Machinist-2nd shift

Our ideal candidate is a highly experienced machinist who can interpret engineering drawings, work with tight tolerances, and operate advanced machinery. Essential Job Functions:

1. Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to set up and operate CNC machinery.

2. Maintain precision by working within a tolerance of ± 0.00010” across various materials.

3. Proficiently setup and operate 5-Axis Milling centers and/or Multi Spindle/Multi Turret lathes. Showcase competency in bench work and deburring tasks.

Basic Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience with Okuma & Doosan Dual Spindle Lathes

2. 5+ years of experience with Okuma & Doosan 5-Axis CNC Milling Centers

3. Can work 2nd shift hours 4:00pm-12:30am with OT until 3:30am. There is a $3.00/hr shift differential.
