Job description

The Assistant Chemist uses analytical skills in performing specialized lab tests at our factory. Responsibilities In the absence of other lab personnel, including the Factory Chemist, ensure required lab tests are performed and results recorded. Perform tests and record results. Responsible for the day‐to‐day operation of the lab and maintain all laboratory records. Prepare and standardize solutions. Conduct sugar and by‐product analysis. Perform routine lab maintenance, including troubleshooting and basic repair and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED certificate required. 4‐Year College Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science (including two years of chemistry coursework). Valid driver's license. Ability to reference, read, and understand MSDS information. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to direct and supervise lab personnel. Compensation $34.26 per hour.
