Job Title: Chemical Process Operator
Job Type: Full time; Contract
Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule: Monday to Friday; Selected workers will work 2nd shift primarily. However, must be ready to work any shift/OT/weekends as needed
Pay Rate: $44 - 48 per hour

Role Overview

As a Process Mechanic, you’ll play a vital role in producing high-quality aircraft components while supporting a fast-paced, safety-driven manufacturing environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to the performance, reliability, and safety of aviation products used around the world.


What You’ll Do

In this hands-on role, your day-to-day will include:

  • Setting up, operating, and supporting multiple machines and processes to fabricate and assemble components

  • Working from blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to complete tasks accurately

  • Performing chemical processing and laser scribe operations to meet precise aerospace standards

  • Conducting self-inspections using precision tools like calipers and scales

  • Documenting work accurately in systems such as FDAQ

  • Performing routine minor maintenance (filters, lubrication, coolant levels)

  • Inspecting and verifying part dimensions and identifying non-conforming conditions

  • Supporting continuous production flow by assisting and training teammates

  • Preparing and maintaining chemical treating solutions and operating process tanks

  • Ensuring strict compliance with FOD, OSHA, Hazmat, and quality management systems

  • Moving materials safely within the production environment


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical processing and laser scribe

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

  • Experience using precision measuring equipment

  • Willingness to work 2nd shift (primary) and flex to other shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed

  • Must be able to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift

  • Ability to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance

  • Successful completion of background check


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments

  • Knowledge of certifications such as Nadcap, AS9100, BAC, or SLS

  • Familiarity with CAD plating, anodic processing, and Dow Metal treatments

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
