Job description

Imperative Chemical Partners has an immediate opening for a Lab Tech in our Cuero, Texas location. If you are interested in joining a growing company with a proven track record of success, this is your opportunity!

SUMMARY:

The Lab Technician is responsible for routine analytical testing to support Imperative Chemical Partners Technical Services and Operations programs. Over-sees day to day operational functionality of their lab while identifying and improving efficiencies of throughput and workflow. Develops, facilitates, and supports the Lab Quality Assurance program, including instrumentation maintenance schedules, calibration, and documentation of each component.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Demonstrates and is responsible for all functions of lab, including analytical techniques, data communication, and understanding of testing programs.
  • Responsible for documenting daily throughput of designated processes.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal communications, which facilitates technical information transfer.
  • Assists in implementation of a laboratory quality assurance program, including instrumentation maintenance and calibration, control sample testing and review, and all documentation required of a sound program.
  • Train Lab Technicians on assigned processes and be the primary technical resource for Lab Technicians.
  • Interact in a positive manner with management, leaders, and coworkers.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participates in laboratory and plant safety programs, following company policies regarding safety and environmental issues.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Required:
    • High School Diploma
    • 1+ years of laboratory experience
    • Experience with Perkin Elmer Optima 7000 DV
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in science related field
    • 3+ years of laboratory experience
    • IATA/DOT shipper's certification
