Material Handler

As a Material Handler you will load, unload, prepare, and move materials, stack finished product in the proper locations, and perform various functions in each area of material handling as assigned.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S.
  • Loads and unloads materials and product from trucks.
  • Rotates inventory and maintains accurate inventories and required inventory records.
  • Transports materials and product from storage or work sites to designated areas.
  • Maintains internal warehouse.
  • Maintains external warehouse inventories and supplies.
  • Completes all shipping and receiving record keeping, tagging, and documentation.
  • Utilizes and coordinates warehouse racking and space to maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to read and comprehend production worksheets.
  • Keep work area neat, clean, and organized at all times.
  • Make productive use of down time.
  • Attends various mandatory safety and departmental meetings.
  • Able to rotate into all positions on the line.
  • Box and palletize boxes according to instructions: ensuring accurate counts and proper identification.

  • Have a working knowledge of the production and plant processes.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.

  • Have basic analytical and numerical skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement.

  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
  • Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
  • Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.
