How You Will Make An Impact

ContiTech USA, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer Intern to join our Quality team. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will work alongside experienced quality professionals to improve processes, analyze data, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Engineering who are interested in manufacturing, quality systems, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with quality investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing and quality data.
  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on reducing scrap and improving process capability.
  • Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
  • Assist with inspections, audits, and documentation.
  • Help create and update work instructions, quality procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support statistical process control (SPC) activities and reporting.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Assist with product testing and validation activities.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

What You Bring to the Role

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical or a related Engineering field. Students must be at a minimum sophomore standing with a GPA  2.8 or higher.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, or continuous improvement concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and engage in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Legal work authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

Additional Ways To Stand Out 

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with data analysis or statistical software.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Previous manufacturing or internship experience.

  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment. 
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the production facility.
