About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Blender to join our manufacturing team in Plainfield, IN. In this advanced-level role, you will perform complex blending and mixing operations, support bottling line needs, and ensure all production activities meet safety, quality, and performance standards. You will also play a key leadership role—mentoring junior operators, optimizing processes, and partnering closely with Production, QA, and Supervisors.
If you thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and have strong experience with chemical batch building, this is an excellent opportunity to grow and make an impact.
Primary Objectives
  • Lead complex or high-risk blending and mixing operations involving multi-step or precision processes.
  • Optimize batch performance and troubleshoot deviations or inconsistencies.
  • Support new product scale-ups and assist with process validation activities.
  • Mentor Operators I & II; provide training support and conduct procedural audits.
  • Recommend process improvements, workflow enhancements, and equipment upgrades.

Major Responsibilities
  • Keep bottling lines supplied with accurate, on-time batches.
  • Meet daily production goals with high accuracy and zero errors.
  • Ensure compliance with all written procedures, SOPs, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and prioritize work with the Supervisor or Team Lead.
  • Foster a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Report out-of-spec batches and work with QA to resolve issues.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards.

Specific Duties
  • Follow all mixing instructions precisely—no unauthorized changes to procedures.
  • Ensure tanks, pumps, tools, and equipment are properly cleaned to minimize contamination.
  • Recognize bottlenecks in real time and proactively shift resources to maintain workflow.
  • Execute 5S standards and help maintain an organized, safe work environment.
  • Promote and follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and general Manufacturing policies.

Job Requirements
  • Experience in chemical batch mixing experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient with chemical batching equipment, tools, and processes.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear written/verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes in direction or priority.
  • Knowledge of proper bonding/grounding procedures to avoid static discharge.
  • Understanding of safe handling practices for hazardous materials (HazMat).
