A Senior Accountant at MRPR will work on accounting, attest, and tax engagements and will exhibit high standards of professional and social ethics.

Responsibilities:
- LMA (Lead, Manage and hold Accountable).
- Lead, manage, and hold self and others accountable in line with MRPR Core Values.
- Coordinate client engagement.
- Accepts responsibility as the in-charge of the client engagement, including financial statements and tax returns; plan various phases of the engagement and coordinate fieldwork; deliver timely quality service and product; and communication on engagement progress.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency.
- Apply GAAP knowledge and standards relating to audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services; preparation or review of tax returns and related support; supervision of staff accountants; and knowledge and application of firm systems and processes.
- Effective client communication.
- Act as the client contact for basic questions and information; develop client relationships; and gain understanding of clientโs business and industry in order to identify opportunities.
- Create career goals and objectives.
- Manage self and others to meet career objectives and performance expectations; develop new client contacts; and engage in networking activities to drive growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree in accounting or equivalent.
- CPA certification required or actively working towards completion.
- 3 - 6 years of experience in public accounting.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience leading and reviewing the work of others.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of:
- Assurance applications (CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, CS Professional Suite, Checkpoint).
- Accounting software applications (Quickbooks).
- Tax research database and planning tools (CCH, Checkpoint, BNA or comparable).
- Tax compliance software (Axcess Tax or comparable).
- Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
