We're looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated Content & Social Media Coordinator to help bring our dealerships, employees, vehicles, and community involvement to life through engaging digital content.

What We Offer

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the marketing efforts of one of Maryland's largest automotive groups. You'll have the creative freedom to capture compelling content across multiple dealership brands while building your skills in content creation, branding, photography, videography, and community engagement.

Schedule & Work Location

This position is based primarily at our Bethesda location but requires travel to our dealership locations in Bethesda, Silver Spring, Ellicott City, and Clarksville.

Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between stores.

Jim Coleman Automotive participates in approximately 10–15 dealership and community events annually, with 4–5 occurring on evenings and/or weekends. Candidates should be available to assist with these events as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Capture high-quality photo and video content at dealership locations and community events
  • Film vehicle walkarounds, employee spotlights, customer deliveries, dealership activities, and behind-the-scenes content
  • Create engaging Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and promotional videos
  • Edit videos using CapCut or similar editing software
  • Create graphics using Canva or similar design software
  • Organize and maintain digital photo and video libraries

Social Media Support

  • Upload completed content to the content calendar for management approval
  • Schedule approved content for publication
  • Assist in maintaining an organized content calendar
  • Stay current on social media trends and recommend fresh content ideas
  • Ensure all content aligns with Jim Coleman Automotive's brand standards

Community Events

  • Attend dealership events, sponsorships, career fairs, charity events, and community partnerships
  • Capture photos and videos during events
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown when needed
  • Help promote Jim Coleman Automotive's involvement within the community

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Creative, organized, and passionate about content creation
  • Comfortable capturing high-quality photo and video content using a smartphone or camera
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Professional with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team

Preferred Experience

  • 1–3 years of marketing, social media, or content creation experience
  • Proficiency with CapCut, Canva, or similar content creation and graphic design software
  • Photography and/or videography experience
  • Social media content creation
  • Meta Business Suite (preferred but not required)
