Job Summary
Summit Restoration is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager (BDM) to expand our referral network, strengthen strategic partnerships, and increase revenue across key verticals. This role is responsible for proactive outreach, consistent field engagement, organized follow-up, and ownership of marketing collaboration efforts that support business growth.
The ideal candidate thrives in face-to-face networking, is highly organized, enjoys strategic planning, and understands the importance of consistent follow-up in a restoration environment.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Development
  • Collaborate with Marketing on talking point ideas and email outreach strategies.
  • Build and manage a personal book of business and prospect list.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed notes and client preferences in Dash CRM.
  • Nurture and maintain current client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and repeat business

BD Planning, Visits & Route Strategy
  • Collaborate weekly on vertical targets and geographic routing plans.
  • Prepare strategic outreach plans for upcoming weeks.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings, pop-ins, lunches, and networking visits aligned with vertical strategy.
  • Verify marketing collateral inventory and materials prior to visits.
  • Maintain and update Dash Contact Manager with detailed client profile notes and preferences.
  • Submit detailed weekly activity reports outlining visits, meetings, lunches, events, and progress toward sales goals.
  • Conduct ongoing research into new leads, companies, verticals, associations, and groups to join.
  • Coordinate and attend Lunch & Learns; collaborate on presentation content and relationship follow-up.

Client Care & Relationship Retention
  • Review Received and Completed Jobs weekly (Thursdays).
  • Collaborate on client appreciation cards, gifts, and follow-up touches.
  • Ensure client preferences and notes are updated in Dash CRM.

Marketing Collaboration
  • Assist with inventory tracking and marketing promotional items.
  • Contribute ideas for vertical-specific monthly email campaigns.

Social Media & Online Presence
  • Collaborate on ideas for social media, website content, and review strategy.
  • Own creation of one social media post per week.
  • Support Birdeye review engagement efforts.

External Events (BD Ownership)
  • Research and attend association events, trade shows, golf tournaments, and charity events.
  • Manage follow-up with new contacts and maintain ongoing relationship development.
  • Coordinate and attend company-hosted breakfasts, blood drives, happy hours, and vertical-specific events.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of business development, sales, or relationship management experience (restoration, construction, property management, or insurance industry preferred).
  • Strong networking and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong CRM discipline.
  • Ability to plan strategic routes and execute independently in the field.
  • Comfortable presenting in group settings (Lunch & Learns, association events).
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.

Salary Description
$65,000 - $85,000
