Job description

RN Charge Nurse

The RN Charge Nurse will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care on their shift. The Charge Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the unit. Focus will be on providing a safe, effective environment for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

Monitors and coordinates the daily patient care activities of the unit; makes daily rounds; assigns staff and patients to ensure full coverage of patient care needs at all times for the assigned shift.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in Medical Surgical. Two to five years experience in nursing management. Current CA Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS certifications are required. NIHSS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
