Howden, a Chart Industries Company is a global engineering business who focuses on providing clients with industrial products that help multiple sectors improve their everyday processes. Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and have over a century of experience in doing so. This position supports the external and intercompany customer needs in the market by supporting independent sales representatives, regional sales managers, key accounts, and end customers.

What Will You Do?
  • Manage day-to-day operations including timely delivery of ETO orders and quotes, customer ETO related inquiries, and channel partner ETO technical support.
  • Drive team development, process improvements and KPI expectations through effective and proactive leadership.
  • Develop vacuum expertise personally and within the AE department.
  • Prepare ETO vacuum quotations and enter vacuum orders.
  • Develop and execute standard work to reduce vacuum order complexity.
  • Develop a process to reduce time to quote by 50%.
  • Cross-train team on all ETO products.
  • Ensure standard work is in place and being adhered to.
  • Manage performance evaluation process, team development and succession planning.
  • Other duties as assigned per the Mechanical Engineering Manager
  • Observe all Howden safety standards and ensure department compliance.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • General Office environment, standing, sitting, stooping, walking, etc as necessary
  • Computer skills and consistent work at desk and working on a computer for long periods of time
  • Manufacturing site requires PPE when on the shop floor, ie Steel Toe Boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc
Your Experience Should Be...
  • Bachelors Engineering degree in Mechanical or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years in a sales/process engineering role
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a proficient level of product/service/customer base knowledge.
  • Ease in establishing and maintaining productive relationships both internally and externally
  • Experience in leading, developing and mentoring a professional team, providing hands‑on support and influence through a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills – an active listener with proven collaboration skills.
  • High competency w/ Microsoft Office Products: Word, Office, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Accomplished multi-tasker able to prioritize large volume of activity
  • Demonstrated technical know-how, analytical skills, and mechanical aptitude

Desirable

  • Experience with continuous improvement tools.
  • MRP / Baan business systems

This is an onsite position. Hybrid is an option
