Join the Microsoft Devices Operations (MDO) team as a Senior Channel Operation Manager, where you'll lead end-to-end channel operations by driving data-informed decision-making, optimizing planning and execution, and enhancing partner performance. Orchestrate demand, supply, and sales alignment to deliver strong sell-in/sell-through outcomes, while improving channel efficiency, inventory health, and operational scalability. Champion continuous transformation through advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled insights. Build strategic partnerships and cross-functional alignment to deliver measurable business impact, drive innovation, and adapt to evolving market dynamics.

Responsibilities
Analytics & Metrics Reporting
  • Defines and analyzes key metrics to measure channel performance.
  • Identifies trends, risks, and opportunities from partner and competitive data.
  • Drives data-informed strategy adjustments, root-cause analysis, and continuous reporting improvements, leveraging AI tools.

Change Leadership
  • Champions ongoing transformation across Channel Management.
  • Advances analytics capabilities, tools, and processes; drives adoption and stakeholder buy-in.

Channel Planning & Management
  • Leads end-to-end planning and execution, improving efficiency and scalability.
  • Aligns demand, supply, and marketing plans through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Uses data, automation, and market insights to optimize channel performance and forecasting.

Channel Sales Operations
  • Partners with Sales and Marketing to drive effective merchandising, sell-in, and sell-through.
  • Engages partners/retailers to align execution and accelerate results.

Data Analysis & Insights
  • Translates data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Drives forecasting, trend analysis, and AI-enabled decision-making.
  • Builds team capability and ensures rigorous, unbiased analysis.

Partner/Customer Engagement
  • Builds solid partner relationships and drives joint initiatives to enhance performance.
  • Leads business reviews, aligns operations, and delivers data-driven recommendations.
  • Influences partner strategies, including AI and innovation opportunities.

Process & Inventory Management
  • Optimizes end-to-end demand/supply processes and channel inventory health.
  • Balances supply-demand to meet financial targets and reduce risk (e.g., excess inventory).
  • Leads root-cause analysis, postmortems, and scalability initiatives.

Stakeholder Management
  • Builds trust and alignment across cross-functional teams and partners.
  • Manages escalations, drives decision-making, and aligns plans, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Advocates for partner/customer needs while ensuring business objectives are met.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply), supplier relationship management, customer relationship management, and/or channel management experience.
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply), supplier relationship management, customer relationship management, and/or channel management experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply), supplier relationship management, customer relationship management, and/or channel management experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in Channel Operation with retail and distribution customers

Channel Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
