Job description

Acuity is seeking a Internal Communication Channel Specialist to support the execution of the strategy, governance, and day-to-day operations of Acuity’s internal communications channels, helping to ensure a seamless, effective, and engaging employee experience. This role will contribute to optimizing how communications are delivered across channels, including channel selection, structure, user experience, and performance. The Internal Communication Channel Specialist will support channel performance, enhancements, governance, and innovation, while partnering closely with Communications Strategists and business stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the execution of Acuity’s internal communications channel strategy, ensuring alignment with employee needs and business priorities.
  • Assist with maintaining governance frameworks for all internal communication channels, including ownership, standards, posting cadence, and best practices.
  • Support operations of internal communication channels, ensuring they function effectively and provide a seamless user experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve channels, including enhancing usability, reducing friction, and improving engagement.
  • Support the evaluation, planning, and rollout of new communication channels and tools, including vendor coordination, testing, and implementation.
  • Support measurement and reporting of internal communications performance across channels, including:
    • Analyze engagement data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
    • Develop of reports and dashboards for stakeholders
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve channel effectiveness and employee experience
  • Partner with Communications Strategists and business stakeholders to guide appropriate channel usage and ensure alignment with channel strategy.
  • Support the flow and placement of content across channels to ensure consistency and prioritization, without owning content development.
  • Educate partners and contributors on how to effectively use internal channels and follow established governance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline communication delivery, reduce volume, and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Contribute to elevating team capabilities through knowledge sharing and coaching.
  • Demonstrate strong project management, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exemplify Acuity’s Mission & Values through daily actions and promote consistent, employee-focused communication practices across the organization.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, information systems, or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience managing digital platforms or internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, email platforms, CMS, employee experience tools).
  • Experience in channel strategy, platform optimization, or digital operations.
  • Experience supporting analysis of engagement or platform data and translating insights into actionable, data-driven recommendations.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Understanding of channel strategy, user experience (UX), and digital engagement principles.
  • Experience working with or managing content management systems (CMS), intranet platforms, and email tools.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Experience working with or contributing to reports, dashboards, or analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, consultative environment.
  • Ability to influence and guide partners on best practices without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

      The salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
