1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:The Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer is responsible for the engineering, operations, administration, automation, reliability, and continuous improvement of the enterprise ServiceNow platform. This role serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining scalable platform solutions while driving automation, operational excellence, and modern software delivery practices.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience managing, administering, and engineering ServiceNow platforms in large enterprise environments, leveraging modern CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, infrastructure integrations, and platform automation to improve delivery speed, quality, security, and operational stability. The role partners closely with product owners, architects, security teams, infrastructure teams, operations teams, and application development teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable platform capabilities.
Engineer, support, and continuously improve the ServiceNow platform and associated applications.
Design and implement scalable automation solutions using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, APIs, and platform-native capabilities.
Build and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines supporting source control, automated deployment, automated testing, and release governance.
Develop and maintain platform integrations using REST APIs, web services, and integration frameworks.
Partner with development teams to establish engineering standards, reusable patterns, and platform best practices.
Implement automated testing and quality controls utilizing ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and related validation capabilities.
Support platform upgrades, patching, release management, and environment strategy.
Monitor platform performance, reliability, and operational health while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across platform configurations, integrations, workflows, and automation solutions.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, and compliance partners to implement secure platform controls and regulatory requirements.
Participate in platform modernization initiatives focused on automation, developer enablement, and operational efficiency.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing.
Perform day-to-day ServiceNow platform operations and administration, including system health checks, configuration management, user and access support, environment maintenance, and operational runbook execution.
Respond to platform alerts, incidents, and service degradation events; triage issues, coordinate resolution, document root cause, and implement corrective actions to improve platform stability.
Perform approved platform changes, releases, configuration updates, and operational maintenance activities in alignment with change management, risk, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Experience performing technology changes in accordance with enterprise change management practices.

Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow deployments.

Experience working with source control platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
