Job description

This mid-level role is based at the Stellantis Corporate Payroll office in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The main purpose of this role is to be the Stellantis Payroll Services Operations Manager. In this position the individual will provide payroll guidance and assistance to Stellantis Payroll Services staff ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments for each Stellantis employee in US, Canada and other regions as necessary.
Critical Duties:
  • Serve as the liaison between the Stellantis retained staff, Conduent (Jamaica) Payroll Operations and ITM operations
  • Work with the stakeholders (External/Internal) to understand all contractual, legal and regulatory changes impacting payroll systems
  • Coordinate, manage, and prioritize all payroll system/process changes
  • Monitor, track and prioritize all Process Improvements
  • Participate in all annual (planned) or one-time Payroll events. Including all necessary testing to validate new system functionality and problem resolution
  • Work with Payroll Quality Assurance Team, Supervisors, Team Leads and client experts to resolve any discrepancies or open issues from any payroll payment especially the time sensitive on-cycle payroll runs
  • Work directly with ITM organization providing business requirements, addressing outstanding ITM questions and prioritizing workload
  • Work closely with Payroll Operations to provide support and guidance as required
  • Lead Payroll Operations on the development and delivery of Monthly Metrics on Change Control
  • Ensure Escalation process for Trouble Ticket system is adhered to during Payroll run process
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Planning for future business strategy and other required system changes
  • Other projects as directed by management

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required in a Business-related field or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 5 years of previous payroll experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory and project management experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with PeopleSoft Payroll
  • Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet critical payroll deadlines
  • Excellent analytical abilities, problem solving skills and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Position requires someone who is self-motivated and can work independently, but can also be an integral part of a cooperative team effort

  • MBA preferred
  • CPP Certification with demonstrated Canadian payroll experience
  • Minimum 2 years' Workday payroll experience
  • Cognos, Power BI, PeopleSoft Query Experience
  • Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • PeopleSoft database structure
