Job description

About the Role

This role requires working on-site at the client location five days per week.

One of the largest employee-owned electrical contractors in the United States are undertaking a major digital transformation across finance, HR, and customer systems (Oracle Fusion, Workday, Salesforce). According to Oracle, successful cloud adoption depends as much on managing the people transformation as the technology many projects fail due to resistance without it. In this client-facing, high-visibility role, the Change Management Consultant will apply a structured change methodology, leading activities that translate technical changes into user adoption and business value. The consultant will design and execute communications, training, and stakeholder engagement plans to align leaders and employees with the new processes and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead change management strategy: Develop and drive the overall change strategy for the transformation programme, ensuring enterprise-wide initiatives are planned and executed using structured methodologies (e.g. Prosci/ADKAR).
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment: Organise and lead stakeholder workshops, executive briefings, and project meetings to build consensus and buy-in. Craft and deliver clear communications (presentations, updates, FAQs) to engage different audiences and address concerns.
  • Readiness assessments and training: Conduct change impact analyses and readiness assessments. Design and implement training and enablement programmes (instructor-led sessions, e-learning, job aids) along with tailored communications to prepare users for new systems.
  • Drive adoption and measure success: Champion user adoption of the new Oracle Fusion, Workday, and Salesforce solutions by defining success metrics (e.g. adoption and usage KPIs) and tracking progress. Monitor post-launch engagement and outcomes, and adjust tactics to improve uptake.
  • Manage resistance and reinforce change: Identify sources of change resistance early (via surveys, feedback, listening sessions) and develop mitigation tactics (e.g. additional coaching, reinforcement campaigns). Update plans dynamically to address persistent concerns and keep momentum on track.
  • Coach sponsors and managers: Develop executive sponsor and people-manager engagement plans. Coach leaders at all levels to champion the new processes, equipping them with talking points and support. Facilitate sponsor roadmaps and manager workshops so that leadership visibly and consistently endorses the changes.
  • Integrate with project execution: Work closely with the project management team, IT, HR, and other workstreams to integrate change activities into the overall project plan. Align on cutover and go-live timelines, ensuring all teams are coordinated on roll-out sequences and readiness criteria.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Change Management specialist or consultant, ideally with 5+ years supporting large-scale digital/ERP/HCM/CRM transformations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills confident, assertive, and influential, able to engage executives and frontline staff alike.
  • Demonstrated success in driving adoption of new systems and processes (such as ERP or HRIS implementations).
  • Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms (Oracle Fusion Cloud, Workday HCM, Salesforce CRM, or similar) and their typical organizational impacts.
  • Must be able to work fully on-site in the Bay Area (5 days/week) throughout the contract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Change management certification (Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment serving enterprise clients.
  • Experience using structured change frameworks (e.g. Prosci s 3-Phase Process) and tools (stakeholder matrices, readiness templates, adoption dashboards).
