Why you should join our team:

The Manufacturing Manager will play a key role in leading operations, developing robust processes, and building systems that are nimble, efficient, and reliable to support growth and continuous improvement. Who we are:

Engine Power Components is an IATF 16949 certified, global leader in camshaft design and production. We serve a worldwide customer base and supply many diverse market segments. If it has an engine, we probably supply a camshaft for that application. We service heavy duty on and off-road markets, marine and recreational vehicles, light duty trucks, passenger cars, motorcycles, auxiliary power units, racing and high-performance vehicles, and large high horsepower applications for large ships, locomotives, mining equipment and power generation. Excellent customer relationships with some of the best known, globally recognized engine manufacturers, together with talented and dedicated staff, have allowed Engine Power Components to grow from a small operation founded in 1979, to one of the leading camshaft suppliers in the world today.

As Manufacturing Manager, you will:

  • Lead assigned departments in alignment with EPC policies and practices, including staffing, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including forecasting, resource planning, cost targets, and efficiency goals.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (OEE, scrap, downtime, throughput) and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific requirements; maintain audit readiness.
  • Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, efficiency, and resource utilization.
  • Drive production scheduling and control to minimize inventory while supporting sales and on-time delivery objectives.
  • Implement visual management systems on the shop floor to improve accountability and reduce reliance on tribal knowledge.
  • Mentor and develop shift supervisors and team leaders to build a stronger leadership pipeline.

Focus Areas of Ownership

  • Safety – A non-negotiable priority across all operations.
  • Quality – Internal and external, including scrap, rework, and salvage.
  • Cost – Tooling, labor, and production efficiency. (FTTP)
  • Performance – By man, machine, and department (OEE).
  • Service & Delivery – Exceeding customer expectations.
  • Asset Stewardship – Equipment, space, and inventories.
  • Training & Development – Building capability in the operations team.

As an ideal candidate for Manufacturing Manager, you would:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing (automotive preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements, with experience leading audits and sustaining compliance.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
  • A proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

If you’re passionate about manufacturing and want the opportunity to make a measurable impact, we’d love to speak with you. We reward our employees with excellent benefits, including competitive wages, health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a 401(k) plan. Join our team and help us write the next chapter of EPC’s success story!
