What does a challenge course manager do?

A Challenge Course Manager oversees the operation, safety, and maintenance of challenge courses, which are outdoor or indoor facilities designed for team-building and personal development activities. They are responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, training facilitators, and coordinating group events. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a challenge course manager?

To thrive as a Challenge Course Manager, you need expertise in outdoor education, risk management, and facilitation, often supported by certifications such as ACCT Level II or Challenge Course Manager credentials. • Innovation and Improvement: Identify and evaluate opportunities for expanding ADAS capabilities and functionalities, driving continuous improvement in system performance.

  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality of ADAS solutions.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in system engineering or related roles.

  • Proven track record of end-to-end systems architecture and the integration of ADAS technology into production vehicles.ย

  • Strong background in software architecture, system design, architecture, and integration in automotive systems.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate internal and external teams. Proven success in growing and nurturing multicultural high-performance teams. Experience with Japan is preferred.ย
