Job description

Security Control Assessor Salary Range: $98,000 to $113,000 Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a Security Control Assessor (SCA) to support DLIFLC at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. The SCA conducts independent, comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls within IT systems to determine overall control effectiveness in accordance with NIST SP 800-37. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities Perform thorough evaluations of security controls and control enhancements to ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-37 and related standards. Identify vulnerabilities and recommend control improvements to enhance system security posture. Document and report findings to system owners, ISSMs, and Government stakeholders.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement corrective actions. Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and best practices. Required Qualifications AA/AS in a related discipline, OR 3+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.

Active IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification. Hands-on experience with ACAS, Microsoft Defender, STIGs, Microsoft 365, and eMASS. Working knowledge of RHEL, Windows Server, and macOS security configurations.

U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a CAC. Desired Qualifications BA/BS in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field

CAP, CISSP, or CGRC certification. Experience with DoD RMF accreditation and Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages. Prior support to DLIFLC, TRADOC, or other Army training installations.
