Job description

Description:Human Resources Coordinator (Part-Time)

Allendale Columbia School (AC) seeks a people-centered, organized part-time HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day human resources needs of our school community. This role plays an important part in fostering a positive, supportive employee experience that directly impacts our students and families. This is a part-time, non-exempt position of approximately 20 hours per week, reporting to the CFO.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and serving as welcoming first point of contact for staff
  • Conduct exit interviews and share relevant feedback with leadership to support staff retention.
  • Serve as a resource for staff navigating HR questions, benefits, and employee well-being initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support for the recruitment process, including posting positions, organizing materials, and scheduling interviews; senior leadership handles reference calls and hiring decisions.
  • Complete annual FTE reporting to required state and federal agencies.
  • Support school safety processes by coordinating required drills and evaluations, and maintain related records.
  • Ensure HR practices, files, and policies remain compliant with New York State and federal employment law.


Compensation & Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience, range is $40K-52K. Part-time benefits include TIAA/CREF retirement plan participation, lunch in the Dining Commons, professional development support, and partial tuition remission for qualified children.
