We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer support our team at our location in Alpharetta, GA.

Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for managing the design and development of technical, retail-oriented refrigerated display products from concept through production and delivery. This role leads and supports cross-functional design and development teams while providing technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders on EMI Industries, LLC products.

The Quality Engineer also collaborates with external manufacturing partners to develop and maintain a thorough technical understanding of their products, ensuring that product knowledge is effectively communicated and shared across the organization to support business objectives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements by maintaining appropriate product certifications, accreditations, and registrations for both employees and products in the United Kingdom and international markets.
  • Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement across engineering, technical, and support teams.
  • Ensure all product design, redesign, and development activities prioritize energy efficiency while incorporating industry-leading best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance technical documentation and support resources for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customer specifications, provide technical guidance to regional contract teams, and recommend best practices when customer specifications are incomplete or unavailable.
  • Conduct periodic design reviews across multiple locations to verify compliance with company standards, engineering procedures, and quality expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise during customer presentations and support Business Development activities as needed.
  • Represent the company at trade associations, industry conferences, and technical seminars while sharing relevant industry updates with internal technical teams.
  • Partner with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Manage and escalate technical issues that cannot be resolved locally to the appropriate leadership, including the Production Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business objectives and project success.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Total Equivalent Warming Impact (TEWI) and Building Research Establishment Assessment Method (BREEAM) standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of F-Gas regulations.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software, Revit, EPDM, and SolidWorks.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • Ability to travel internationally as a representative of the company.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Commitment to maintaining and continuously developing technical knowledge and professional competencies.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional membership, accreditation, or certification through recognized industry organizations (such as IOR or BRA), or the ability to obtain and maintain such credentials.
  • Significant experience in refrigerated cabinet design and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) development and application.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of thermodynamics and its practical application within product design.
