Job description

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Investment and Innovation in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as the Chief of Licensing in the Office of Licensing which is a sub-office within OII. The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Director of the Office of Licensing (Director) in managing the activities associated with the licensing functions of the SBIC program.Qualifications:GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
  1. Evaluating the business operations and financial performance of private equity, venture capital , lending, or other financial investment organizations; AND
  2. Understanding and application of a complex set of government regulations to sophisticated financial organizations; AND
  3. Supervising the work of professional staff focused on the core service(s) or product(s) of a similar private equity, investing, banking, lending, or financial services organization; AND
  4. Proficiency in project management, financial systems, and data and analytic tools including spreadsheets, reporting, dash boarding, and enterprise tools.

  • Subject matter expertise of the private equity, venture capital and private credit investment industries, obtained through professional work experience.
