Job description

The Senior Financial Analyst owns Cetera's enterprise revenue forecasting and modeling function. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for revenue flows across operational systems, financial models, and consolidated reporting. You will partner with FP&A leadership, Accounting, Data, and business stakeholders to deliver accurate forecasts, variance analysis, and executive-ready reporting-while driving automation and process improvements that enable better, faster decisions.

What You'll Do: 

  • Build and maintain driver-based revenue models supporting annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and ad hoc scenario analysis

  • Establish best practices for financial model governance, version control, and documentation

  • Streamline, automate, and standardize revenue forecasting and reporting processes

  • Document revenue model logic, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure transparency, consistency, and scalability

  • Partner with business leaders to develop forecasting assumptions that align operational drivers with financial outcomes

  • Design processes to allocate revenues across business lines and products in support of evolving management reporting needs

  • Proactively identify trends, emerging risks, and upside opportunities within revenue performance

  • Improve forecast accuracy over time by integrating new data sources, refined methodologies, and stakeholder feedback

  • Maintain deep knowledge of how revenue flows through upstream systems, data transformations, and financial reporting outputs

What You Need to Have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field

  • 3+ years in FP&A or strategic finance, ideally in a high-growth or dynamic environment; investment banking or consulting experience a plus

  • Experience with enterprise financial reporting systems (e.g., Essbase, Oracle Hyperion)

  • Proven track record building and maintaining scalable, driver-based models in complex environments

  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred

Compensation: 

The base salary range for this role in El Segundo, CA is $83,000 to $113,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Salary range may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
