Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Childrens Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, womens health and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines program.

Job Description:

The Manager of Risk Management is a key member of the leadership team and will be responsible for assisting the Director of Risk Management in leading our hospitals Patient Safety-Risk Management Program.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.

Experience:
One (1) to Three (3) years clinical experience or Risk Management experience required. Acute care experience preferred.

License/Certification:

Certified Professional in healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.

Technical Skills:

Computer proficiency to include at a minimum Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and hospital software programs, as applicable.

Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient. Knowledge of the Joint Commission Standards, Centers of Medicare Conditions of Participation, Nevada acute care regulations, and the functions of the Nevada Department of Public Health.
