Job description

Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus in our Project Management department as an Associate Project Manager.ย  Under general direction, assists in managing a large portfolio of electric utility T&D projects to ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently and within scope, on schedule, and within budget. Works closely with personnel to engineer, design, site, permit and construct assigned projects. Assists project managers with securing approval for permits and licenses, budgets, materials, schedules, contractors, and other resources.ย 

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Assist with department progress reporting, management of schedule, budget, outage coordination, contract administration.
  • Manage the development and evaluation process for bid documents related to engineering, design, and construction.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment for project execution.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and completion of all project phases.
  • Independently manage smaller projects, demonstrating proficiency in the full Engineer, Procure, Construct project lifecycle and project controls requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construcdtion Management(preferred); Business, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in electric utility construction or project management experience
  • Requires knowledge in the theoretical and practical application of project management technique and tools including project management software.
  • Requires knowledge of design and construction of electric transmission, distribution and/or substations.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Experience composing executive level communications
